Little Rock, AR. (February 22, 2020) -
Tulsa traveled to Little Rock to kick off the Spring 2020 season and despite a flurry of late-stage heroics were bested by the host Stormers. While the scoreline of 22 - 39 is not what we wanted, there are a lot of positives to take away from the match.
Tulsa coaches were able to see a parade of new players show their stuff as seven (7) players earned their first caps in a Tulsa jersey.
“I thought we showed very good signs throughout the game,” said Coach Jack Meek, “We showed we can be a very dynamic team that can really build pressure. We created a lot of opportunities and were able to build phases and execute some really beautiful attacking tries. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to hold our defensive shape and discipline for the full 80 minutes so we need to go through the game, look at reasons why that fell apart and then move forward.”
