Tulsa Name Squad To Face Wichita

Tulsa has made six changes to their 21-man squad to host Wichita tomorrow (KO 1pm).

In a unique roster shake-up, Logan Singleton has been rewarded for his form and earned his way into the revered front row.  He will be joined by Luke Turner and Austin Rude who returns from a walkabout at prop replacing Brandon Hancock who is being rested.

At lock, Pierce Lindblad will look to continue his strong start to the season, alongside Garrett Patterson who makes his debut to the First XV, replacing David Peebles. In the back-row there’s a welcome bit of consistency with last week’s Man of the Match, Brendan Ennis linking up with the experienced pair of Ky Young and Dakota Wilkinson.

In the backs, David Peebles switches from lock to his natural position of fly-half with the move of Singleton into the front row.  Parker Meyer will return to his spot on the left wing, replacing Cody West who picked up an injury last weekend in Kansas City.

While on the right wing there’s a significant moment for Melvin Goodine who will make his Tulsa RFC First XV debut. Melvin comes to us from DC and played his college rugby for Fairmont State University.

On the replacements bench, experienced fly-half Roger Gassett will look to make his second appearance of the season, while David Sandoval, Jon Kuhn, Rashaad Smith,  Bernard Ogalo, and Stephen Zenishek will all be in contention to make a strong impact.

Coach Brett Stremme, said: “We were really put to the sword last weekend against a tough KCRFC side and have worked hard this week to continue building continuity in all areas of our game. Wichita will be another difficult challenge, they have been on an extremely impressive run of championship rugby for several years now. We know we will need to be at our very best to walk away with the win.”
